Fillings
Our enamel colored fillings are made of a composite material that blends perfectly for a seamless transition between restoration and natural tooth. Don’t be afraid to fight decay, as this is a common procedure, and requires very little time. The material is durable, and you can use your teeth the same as always after the filling is set.
Inlays & Onlays
Traditional fillings aren’t always the best choice, so we may recommend inlay or onlay restorations. These types of porcelain restorations are perfect for patients with moderate decay, especially when the tooth cannot accept a traditional composite filling. Those who benefit from inlay or onlay treatment don’t require a crown after the restoration, and the original structure of the tooth is strengthened. An inlay is quite similar to a filling, covering the inside of the cusps of the tooth to be restored. An onlay extends over one or more of the cusps.
Crowns & Bridges
When a tooth has received root canal therapy, or has been severely weakened, damaged, or fractured, a crown can be the optimal solution. A crown is a custom crafted “cap” that fits over the surface of your tooth to strengthen and add support, and is bonded in place. They are matched to the shade of your other teeth so the restoration goes unnoticed.
WE NOW OFFER SAME-DAY CROWNS…ASK US HOW!
A dental bridge is ideal for patients who need to restore a missing tooth or small series of teeth. The bridge is made of porcelain with a cap in the middle and anchors on either side that fit on top of your prepared natural teeth. The bridge is created just for you, and we ensure it fits perfectly. All of our bridges and crowns are metal free.
Implants
Dental implants are an option for patients who want a permanent solution to missing teeth. At Piedmont Smiles, we can create the prosthetic tooth to fit your implant once it has been placed and healed. We assure the implant looks natural and matches your existing teeth perfectly. With our implant restorations, you’ll restore youth and beauty to your smile.
Root Canals
If your nerve tissue has become infected due to severe decay or damage, you may need root canal (Endodontic) therapy. There’s no reason to worry, though. We know root canals have a rather unpleasant reputation. We do everything we can to keep you relaxed during the procedure. We want to save your tooth and stop the painful infection from spreading. Dr. Marsh performs anterior and premolar root canal treatment right in our offices.
Oral Surgery
We perform minor procedures, such as extractions, right in our office. Your comfort is a top priority. We offer nitrous oxide to keep you relaxed during your surgery. For patients with more advanced surgical needs, like bony impactions or wisdom teeth removal, we’re happy to refer you to a specialized oral surgeon.
Advanced Technology
In our office we use digital photography to bring high quality images right to our patients. We empower you to see what different types of results can be expected with each procedure and help you make informed choices about your care. Dr. Marsh can communicate exactly what you are looking at with each image, and digital photography is easier for patients to understand than the black-and-white dots on an x-ray.
